Pre-Primary:
Our pre-primary accepts children into Kindergarten (from 2yrs 5 mths in January),Foundation (from 3yrs 5 mths in January) and Reception (4yrs 5mths in January).
We are fortunate to have qualified, dynamic, enthusiastic teachers who make all the learning experiences for our little ones interesting and relevant within a secure,happy environment. Class numbers are small ranging from 15 to 20 children to ensure that each child’s individual learning needs are met. Each class has a Teacher’s Assistant to ensure that our little ones are well looked after both inside and outside the classroom.
As a member of the Cambridge International Schools, we use the Jolly Phonics method to introduce the alphabet sounds and build on this to include pre-reading and reading skills by Reception. Mathematics is a ‘hands-on’ development of number recognition building towards simple calculations in Reception classes. Time is given to ‘sensory play’, development of ‘fine motor skills’ and gross motor development.
We have a variety of events to which our parents are invited such as the ‘Splish Splash Gala’ where each little one can show off their confidence in the pool, ‘Sports Day’ where our little ones demonstrate their early athletic skills and entertain us with novelty events, Assembly presentations with singing and dancing to show off what they have learned in class.
